Yemmiganur or Emmiganur is a city, mandal headquarters and a municipality in Kurnool district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
There r 20 villages in this mandal (mdl code-21) of Kurnool Dt, AP & the villages are:
1 SARDARPURAM, 2 YEMMIGANUR, 3 KALUGOTLA, 4 SOGANUR, 5 TSALLAKUDLUR, 6 DIVAM DINNE, 7 ENIGABALA, 8 GARLADINNE, 9 PESALADINNE, 10 K.THIMMAPURAM, 11 PARLAPALLE, 12 RALLADODDI, 13 KADIMETLA, 14 GUDIKAL, 15 KADIVELLA, 16 KANDANATHI, 17 BANAVASI, 18 MALAKAPURAM, 19 KOTEKAL, 20 DEVIBETTA
This place came to prominence after independence. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr.K.Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy.Padmasree Mr Machani Sommappa owner of Y.W.C.S, Yemmiganur spinning mill. He also supported the starting of Panyam Cements in the district.
This place was once known all over India for its products of Cotton. Also did exports to some countries.

And for future it plans to be a better place for living. and its intrests involve providing good education and also has great resources to be tapped to further develop into a better town.
